Banco Desio Group: authorisation by the Bank of Italy for the acquisition of control over Banca Popolare di Spoleto S.p.A. in A.S.

Notice is hereby given that Banco di Desio e della Brianza S.p.A. (“Banco Desio”) has received the authorisation granted by the Bank of Italy under Articles 19, 53 and 67 of the Italian Consolidated Banking Act for acquisition of control over Banca Popolare di Spoleto S.p.A. in A.S. (“BPS”) according to the terms and conditions described in the joint press release published on 1 April 2014. 

The Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of BPS called to resolve the reserved capital increase in favour of Banco Desio was in the meantime convened by the Official Receivers (already authorised by Bank of Italy for this purpose) for 16 June 2014 on 1st call (possible 2nd call for 17 June, if required).
